September 13 (SeeNews) - Coca-Cola Romania said on Friday it has named Paris Nikolopoulos its new country manager starting this fall.
Nikolopoulos will replace Nicoleta Eftimiu, who was appointed to lead the operations of Coca-Cola Company in Central Europe, Coca Cola Romania said in a press release.
Nikolopoulos started working for Coca Cola in 2004 and has held both local and regional positions since.
"Romania is one of the most important markets for the Coca-Cola System, with a fast development and many innovative, successful ideas regarding product portfolio and marketing strategies. For me, this new function is a great opportunity to get to know a market as interesting and vast as the Romanian one," Paris Nikolopoulos said.
In Romania, Coca Cola operates through subsidiary Coca-Cola Romania and its partner Coca-Cola HBC Romania, which bottles and distributes products.
In April, the company announced that it has invested 11 million euro ($12.2 million) in a new water bottling line and upgrades at its Poiana Negrii production plant in Suceava county. Besides the production facility in Suceava, Coca Cola operates two more plants in Romania - in Ploiesti and Timisoara.
Coca-Cola has over 500 brands in its portfolio, distributed in over 200 countries.
