June 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production increased by an annual 3.48% to 20,207 GWh in the January 1 - June 9 period of 2019, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption added 1.92% to 17,698 GWh in the review period, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Electricity exports grew 16.02% to 2,509 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system fell 4.03% on the year to 547 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 11.74% year-on-year to 827 GWh.
