April 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate inched down by a monthly 0.07 percentage points to 5.77% in March, the Employment Agency said.
At the end of last month, there were 163,635 registered jobless people in the country, or 1,950 fewer than in February, the government agency said in a monthly report on Monday.
In March alone, the agency registered 19,946 unemployed people, which was 0.2% higher than a month earlier.
Some 14,205 jobless people started work with the help of labour offices in the month under review, or 1,721 more than in February.
There were 14,706 job vacancies on the primary labour market in March, up from 10,494 registered in February, the agency added. The highest percentage of vacancies was reported in hospitality and catering with 30.2%, followed by the manufacturing industry with 17.6%, trade with 8.9%, public administration with 7.8%, agriculture, forestry and fisheries with 7.8% and education with 4.8%.
