December 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa Iztok 2 said on Monday that it has signed a 7.6 million levs ($4.4 million/3.9 million euro) deal with local tie-up Cybersec for development of a cybersecurity centre.
The contract also envisages updating the plant's existing system for storing personal data, in line with the requirements of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Maritsa Iztok 2 said in a notice.
Cybersec is owned by three Bulgarian companies - Rag Group - Communication Technologies with a 34% stake, Atlas Co with 33% and Equinox Global Solutions with 33%.
State-owned TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 has eight units with a total installed capacity of 1,620 MW.
