April 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's revenue from tourist overnights increased by 15.8% on the year to 106.9 million levs ($59.4 million/54.7 million euro) in February, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
Revenue from domestic tourists came in at 60.6 million levs, while foreign visitors contributed 46.3 million levs in the review month, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
The total number of tourist overnights slipped by an annual 1.2%, reaching a little over 1.18 million in February. Overnights spent by foreigners totalled some 440,100.
In February, the total number of tourists who stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria added 2.1% year-on-year to 480,200. Of them, 141,500 were foreign visitors, up 0.6% in annual terms, while Bulgarian nationals grew by 2.8% to 338,700, the NSI said.
