September 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's revenue from tourist overnights increased by 46.7% on the year in July, to 386.6 million levs ($ 201.1million/197.7 million euro), the statistical office said on Monday.
Revenue from foreign visitors surged by 64.5% in annual terms to 265.97 million levs in July, whereas domestic tourists generated revenue of 120.6 million levs, up 18.4% in annual terms, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
The total number of tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria reached 5.39 million in July, up by 26.7% on the year. Of those, 3.31 million overnights were spent by foreign tourists.
In July, the total number of tourists who stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria rose by 18.2% to 1.32 million. Of them, 678,431 were foreign visitors, the NSI said.
