May 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] said on Thursday that it generated sales of 9.7 million levs ($5.4 million/5 million euro) in April, exceeding its forecast for monthly sales of 9.1 million levs.
M+S Hydraulic expects to book a further 7.6 million levs in May, which would bring its total sales in the first five months of the year to 45.2 million levs, the company said in a bourse filing.
In the first five months of last year, the company reported sales of 49.9 million levs.
The hydraulic equipment maker generated a gross profit of 5.6 million levs in the January-April period of 2020, of which 1.2 million levs in April alone. This compares to a gross profit of 6.5 million levs in the same period of 2019.
M+S Hydraulic is an affiliate of blue-chip diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR].
As at 9:30 CET on Thursday, M+S Hydraulic shares traded 1.68% lower at 5.85 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
