April 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian construction company Ingstroyengineering has completed the rehabilitation of a 14-km section of the Dobrich-Kardam road, in the country's northeast, the government's Road Infrastructure Agency said.
The road section will be put into operation on Monday, the agency said in a statement over the weekend.
The II-29 road, of which the Dobrich-Kardam section is part, provides the shortest link between the Bulgarian resorts on the Black Sea coast and neighbouring Romania.
The overhaul project worth 13.8 million levs ($7.9 million/ 7.05 million euro), was financed from the EU's operational programme Regions in Growth 2014-2020, with co-financing from the Bulgarian government.
Ingstroyengineering launched rehabilitation works on the road in August 2017.
