July 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Generali Insurance, part of Italian insurance group Assicurazioni Generali, said that its net profit fell to 6.5 million levs ($3.7 million/3.3 million euro) in 2018 from 6.9 million levs the year before.
Generali Insurance generated gross written premiums of 169.7 million levs last year, up from 150.9 million levs in 2017, the company said in an annual financial statement.
Net claims increased to 61.6 million levs in 2018 from 57.9 million levs in 2017.
The company's assets rose to 364.9 million levs at the end of 2018 from 332.3 million levs a year earlier.
