March 11 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian municipality of Gabrovo said that it has launched a 3.5 million levs ($2.0 million/1.8 million euro) tender for supply of eight buses running on compressed natural gas (CNG) for the needs of its public transport system.
The project benefits from EU funding under Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014-2020, Gabrovo municipality said in a tender notice last week.

The buses should meet at least EURO 6 emission standards and have a minimum warranty period of 2 years.
The vehicles should fit at least 80 passengers, a minimum of 20 of which seated.
The deadline for submitting offers is April 9.
Bids will be ranked based on price, which will form 50% of the final mark, energy efficiency, warranty period and other technical criteria.
