March 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian e-commerce logistics services provider euShipments said on Tuesday that it has acquired Slovak fulfilment provider Swiss Point Data, reinforcing its presence in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The deal is part of euShipments's accelerated growth plan, supported by local private equity firm BlackPeak Capital, which enables it to increase its logistics scope in key European markets, the logistics company said in a press release. The financial parameters of the transaction were not disclosed.

Swiss Point Data is euShipments's fourth acquisition since partnering with the equity firm, following deals last year for Croatia's Pick&Pack, Romania's Helpship and an unnamed courier service integrator from the region. In 2022, euShipments secured up to 7.5 million euro ($8.2 million) in financing from BlackPeak Capital to fuel its growth and international expansion.
As part of the euShipments group, Swiss Point Data will gain access to a service portfolio of over 50 leading European courier companies and 600 delivery methods, facilitating international business growth for its clients. The Slovak company, founded in 2002, will keep its current corporate structure under the leadership of CEO Ondrej Holik, while euShipments chief commercial officer, Vichren Bisset, will join its board of directors.
"We are pleased with the successful completion of this deal for euShipments.com. Slovakia is of strategic significance for the group, given its proximity to key Central European markets like the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria," BlackPeak Capital partner Angel Stefanov said.
Ruse-based euShipments operates 12 fulfilment centres and has a network of more than 27 European countries.
Established in 2014, BlackPeak Capital focuses on growth equity investments ranging from 5 to 15 million euro in fast-growing small and medium-sized enterprises in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. Currently, the firm manages two funds with total assets under management of 150 million euro, its website shows.
