March 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:52E] said that it will suspend production operations for a weeks as of Monday, but the period could subsequently be extended if necessary.
Elhim Iskra expects to generate sales of 1.9 million levs ($1.1 million/1 million euro) in March, it said in a bourse filing.

The company booked sales of 3.2 million levs in March 2019.
In the first two months of 2020, the company generated sales of 6.2 million levs. Sales in February amounted to 3.1 million levs, in line with the company's forecast.
The company posted a preliminary loss of 120,000 levs in the January-February period of 2020.
Elhim Iskra is part of local blue-chip diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR]. The Pazardzhik-based company exports over 90% of its output.
Bulgaria is currently in a state of emergency due to the spreading novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
