April 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian agricultural leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC] said it signed deals to finance agricultural land purchases worth a total of 588,642 levs ($320,710/300,967 euro) in March, compared to 1.69 million levs recorded in the same month of 2023.
Elana Agrocredit financed the purchase of 39.8 hectares (ha) of land last month, down from 59.2 ha a year earlier, the company said in a regular activity report on Monday.

In monthly comparison terms, the value of deals plunged by 84% in March, from some 3.68 million levs in February, with the financed land volume dropping from roughly 140.3 ha.
The financial leasing company agreed eight land purchase financing deals in March, compared to 15 in the same month last year and 18 in February.
As of 1115 CET on Tuesday, shares in Elana Agrocredit traded 4.50% lower at 1.06 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
