November 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's current account surplus narrowed to 2.12 billion euro ($2.42 billion) in the first nine months of 2018, compared to 3.60 billion euro in the same period of 2017, the central bank said on Monday.
The current account surplus in the January-September period was equivalent to 4% of the country's projected gross domestic product (GDP) in 2018, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a statement.
In September alone, Bulgaria posted a current account surplus of 312.7 million euro, up from 568.9 million euro in September 2017.

Bulgaria closed 2017 with a current account surplus of 1.98 billion euro, compared to a surplus of 1.8 billion euro in the previous year.
