January 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Blagoevgrad municipality said that it has signed an 8.9 million levs ($5.2 million/4.6 million euro) deal with local tie-up Balkanika Green Southwest Project for construction of a composting facility for biodegradable waste.
The deal was signed on December 20, Blagoevgrad municipality said in a notice on Monday.
Two candidates submitted offers in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract.
The contract will benefit from EU funding.
Balkanika Green Southwest Project tie-up comprises three companies, according to registry agency data. Balkanika Energy owns a stake of 93%, while Mega Hydrostroy and R-studio hold stakes of 2% and 5%, respectively.
