January 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's BDZ Passengers, part of state-owned railway group BDZ Holding, said on Monday that it has signed a five-year 137 million levs ($78 million/70 million euro) contract with France's Alstom for maintenance of BDZ's diesel and electric multiple unit trains.
Currently, BDZ Passengers operates 22 diesel multiple unit trains and 24 electric multiple unit trains, the company said in a notice.
The deal was concluded on December 17, according to the notice.
The tender for the contract attracted four offers.
