May 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian building installations company Ataro Clima has opened a 10 million euro ($11.0 million) metal processing factory near the country's second-largest city of Plovdiv, local media reported.
"We launched the factory in the beginning of 2020, but we are still far away from reaching its full capacity of 6,000-8,000 tonnes of sheet metal produced per year," Ataro Clima's manager Hristo Rogachev said, as quoted in a report by business daily Capital on Tuesday.
Currently, Ataro Clima employs 650 people, as 200 of them are engaged in production. The company operates over 40,000 sq m of production facilities.
According to the company's managers, the new factory is Bulgaria's first smart metal processing facility which does not employ human labour in production.
Plovdiv-headquartered Ataro Clima was founded in 1990. Its core business is the delivery and assembly of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
The company has seven offices in Bulgaria and also operates in Romania, the UK, the Netherlands and France, according to information available on its website.
