August 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian telecommunications group BTC said on Tuesday that its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by an annual 5.8% to 170.5 million levs in the first half of 2018.
BTC's total revenue increased by 4.8% year-on-year to nearly 453 million levs in the six months through June, the company, which operates under the Vivacom brand, said in a statement.
The company's market share in terms of revenue from mobile services reached 30%, BTC said. Revenue from mobile Internet accounted for 43% of the company's mobile services revenue in January-June.
BTC offered its mobile services to a total of 3.053 million clients in the review period. The clients of the company's IPTV service increased 15.6% year-on-year in the first six months of 2018.
The telecommunications group's capital expenditure amounted to 65 million levs in the first half of the year, 66% of which was invested in the development of technological infrastructure.
On the mobile segment, BTC competes with Telenor Bulgaria, A1 Bulgaria and Max Telecom.
