October 5 (SeeNews) - Two of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in red territory on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX losing 0.25% to 582.1 points, dragged down by IoT products maker Allterco [BUL:A4L] and pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA].
Allterco closed 1.72% lower at 17.10 levs although the company said earlier in the day its revenue from sales of IoT devices and related services rose by an annual 49.8% in the nine months through September.
Sopharma, which reported a 36% year-on-year drop in its September sales, closed 1.33% lower at 4.44 levs with 3,500 shares traded.
The drop in Allterco along with the loss of the operator of the BSE [BUL:BSE] of 2.84% to 8.55 levs pushed down the BGBX40 index, which tracks the bourse's 40 most traded shares. The index slipped by 0.05% to 134.83 points although Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG] gained 8% to 0.16 levs.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, inched up by 0.02% to 704.8 points. The index was backed by diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], which climbed by 2.67% to 0.77 levs, and venture capital firm Eleven Capital AD [BUL:11C], which gained 1.65% to 18.50 levs. These gains more than offset the top losers Bulgarian Stock Exchange and Allterco.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, ticked up 0.01% to 178.14 points. The positive performance was due to Super Borovetz Property Fund REIT [BUL:SBPF], which rose by 0.69 % to 2.90 levs. Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:BREF], which fell by 0.96 to 2.06 levs, was the only loser.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market dropped to 166,585 levs ($83,935/85,174 euro) on Wednesday from 620,303 levs on Tuesday.
