June 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian lawmakers will discuss on June 21 the motion of no confidence against the coalition government of prime minister Kiril Petkov, the parliament said on Friday.
Earlier this week, the biggest opposition GERB party submitted the motion over what it called failure of the government's economic and financial policy.
On Thursday, MPs from former junior coalition partner There Is Such a People (TISP) voted alongside the three opposition parties in parliament to remove the house speaker, Nikola Minchev, from the position. Minchev is an MP from Petkov's We Continue the Change party.
The three parties remaining in the government coalition after TISP left it last week control 109 of 240 seats in parliament among themselves.
