March 27 (SeeNews) - All share indices on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) opened higher on Monday after conservative GERB party won Sunday's early general election.
With 98.5% of the votes counted, GERB has won 32.64% of the vote, while their main opponent, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), has received the support of 27.12% of the voters, according to preliminary results from the Central Election Commission.
The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Sofia bourse rose 0.42% to 642.29 points, recording the largest increase among the BSE indices on Monday morning.
All of the blue-chip constituents of the SOFIX except for hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] opened higher.
Аluminium products maker Alcomet [BUL:6AM] led the list of blue-chip gainers as at 9:30 CET, having added 1.8% to 19.75 levs.
M+S Hydraulic shares fell 0.26% to 7.8 levs, as 58 units changed hands.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased 0.33% to 126.14 points.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, rose 0.18% to 108.31 points.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, increased 0.30% to 507.53 points.
