October 14 (SeeNews) - Bucharest Stock Exchange-listed Purcari Wineries [BSE:WINE] said on Monday that it has repurchased 14,294 own shares in the period October 7-11 for a total of 302,315 lei ($70,100/63,600 euro).
The average price per share of the repurchases made during the week ended October 11 was 21.15 lei, according to a bourse filing by the blue-chip company.
Since the launch of its share repurchase programme, Purcari Wineries has bought back 116,449 shares for some 2.7 million lei.
The company intends to buy back an additional 83,551 own shares under its current programme.
As at 9:25 CET on Monday, Purcari Wineries shares traded 0.47% higher at 21.3 lei.
Purcari Wineries is a public company incorporated under the laws of Cyprus, which owns wineries in Romania and Moldova. The company was admitted to trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in February 2018 and is now part of the blue-chip BET index.
Purcari Wineries owns over 1,000 hectares of vines and four wineries in Romania and Moldova - Bostavan, Purcari, Ceptura and Bardar. Its main markets are Romania, Moldova, and Poland.
