October 5 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Serb Republic said on Wednesday it collected 2.322 billion marka ($1.18 billion/1.19 billion euro) in taxes in the January-September period, up 14% compared to the same period a year earlier.
In September alone, the tax administration of the Serb Republic collected 251.6 million marka in taxes, some 15% higher compared with September 2021, the entity's tax office said in a statement.
In the January-September period, revenue from direct taxes reached 511.5 million marka, some 140 million marka more than in the same period last year.
Revenue from contributions increased to 1.444 billion marka in the first nine months of 2022, up by 127.8 million marka compared with the January-September period of 2021. Other public revenue came in at 366.9 million marka in January-September 2022, some 16.8 million more than the first nine months of 2021.
The Serb Republic is one of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
