August 19 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia's Serb Republic said it collected 1.788 billion marka ($922.9 million/915.2 million euro) in taxes in the January-July period, up 12% compared to the same period a year earlier.
In July alone, the tax administration of the Serb Republic collected 247.3 million marka in taxes, some 8.8 million marka more than in July 2021, the entity's tax office said in a statement earlier this month.
In the January-July period, revenue from direct taxes rose 36% year-on-year to 413.6 million marka.
Revenue from contributions increased to 1.094 billion marka in the first seven months of 2022, up 8% compared with the January-July period of 2021. Other public revenue came in at 279.6 million marka in January-July 2022, 2% higher than the first seven months of 2021.
The Serb Republic is one of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
