April 17 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb Republic posted combined gross written premiums (GWP) of 80.3 million marka ($43.7 million/41.1 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024, up 14.9% year-on-year, the entity’s insurance agency said on Wednesday.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by 16.9% year-on-year to 66.5 million marka in the three months through March, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 6.3% to 13.9 million marka, according to figures released by the Serb Republic's insurance agency.
The Serb Republic insurance agency's report includes data on 23 insurance companies.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
