March 31 (SeeNews) - The economic growth of Bosnia's Serb Republic slowed down to a real 2.6% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2019, from 3.1% in the preceding quarter, the entity's statistical office said on Tuesday.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, the Serb Republic's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.6% in the last quarter of 2019, compared to the previous quarter, slower than the 1.1% growth on a quarterly comparison basis recorded in July-September, the Serb Republic's statistical office said in a statement.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, the entity's GDP grew by 3.9% year-on-year in real terms.
The largest annual real growth of gross value added in the fourth quarter of 2019 was recorded in information and communication, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles, transport and storage, accommodation and food services.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
