September 26 (SeeNews) - Consumer prices in Bosnia rose 16.8% on the year in August, after an annual increase of 16.7% in July, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
In August, the average prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 25.6% year-on-year, prices of housing and utilities went up 17.4%, and transport prices surged by 28.4%, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices added 0.3% in August, following an increase of 0.7% in July.
Last year, consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 2.0%, after a drop of 1.0% in 2020.
