May 16 (SeeNews) - The registered jobless rate in Bosnia's Federation edged down to 38% at the end of March from 38.4% a month earlier, the entity's statistical agency said.
The registered unemployment rate is calculated as a ratio of the number of unemployed to the total active population. Unemployment among women also declined in March, to 45.7% from 46.1%, the agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
The number of unemployed fell 1.4% on the month to 321,618 in March.
At the same time, the number of employed people edged up 0.3% month-on-month to 525,401 in March, while the active population decreased 0.3% month-on-month to 847,019.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities making up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
