March 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Federation economy expanded by 2.3% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2019, at the same pace as in the preceding quarter, the entity's statistical office said.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, the Federation's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a quarterly 0.7% in October-December, after growing by 0.5% in July-September, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement on Friday.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, the entity's GDP grew by 3.6% year-on-year in real terms.
The largest real growth of the gross value added in the fourth quarter of 2019 was recorded in the financial and insurance activities; wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; transport and storage; accommodation and food services, information and communication sectors, the Federation's statistical office said.
On the other hand, the largest real decrease of the gross value added was recorded in the agriculture, forestry and fishing; mining and quarrying; manufacturing; electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities sectors.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
