SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 21 (SeeNews) – Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda HZHB [SAJ:JPEMR] said its first-half net profit dropped sharply to 18.8 million marka ($10.6 million/9.6 million euro) from 38.7 million marka in the like period last year.
The company's operating revenue rose 25% to 267.4 million marka in the six months through June, while operating costs jumped 36% to 238.4 million marka, the company said in a financial statement on Monday.
Elektroprivreda HZHB, the smallest of the three Bosnian state-owned power utilities, is based in the country's Federation entity.
Bosnia's largest power utility is Elektroprivreda BiH, also based in the Federation, which together with the Serb Republic entity forms Bosnia and Herzegovina. Elektroprivreda RS is the power utility of the Serb Republic.
