February 9 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's aluminum supplier Alumina said on Friday it has began the construction of a 2,845 sq m multipurpose building adjacent to its factory.
The new building will house transport and logistics facilities, a firefighting unit and a truck service workshop and will feature two new truck weighing scales and license plate recognition-equipped ramps, Alumina said in a press release.
The facility should improve working conditions at the factory, especially in the areas of transport and logistics, and ensure work efficiency and even greater productivity, the company added, without revealing the value of the investment.
After the completion of the project, Alumina plans to start the construction of a new 4,485 sq m logistics facility.
Alumina's main activity is the production of alumina, hydrate, zeolite, sodium silicates and water glass.
