SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 10 (SeeNews) – The share indices of Bosnia's two stock exchanges, in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, closed mixed the week ending July 10, bourse data showed.
The 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) ended at 769.67 points on Friday, down by a weekly 1.05%.
The broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, edged down 0.03% to a closing value of 1,356.25 on Friday.
The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, closed up 0.29% at 968.29 points.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by the SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), fell 0.71% to 9,868.76 points. The index tracks 25 companies.
Utility firm Energonova [SAJ:EGNSR] was the most traded company on SASE's official market during the week, contributing 471,000 marka to the total turnover. Its shares closed the week up 1.51% at 39.73 marka.
SASE’s total weekly turnover fell to 1.9 million marka ($1.1 million/971,000 euro) this week, from 52.8 million marka last week when trading in government securities contributed 49.9 million marka to the total.
SASE is based in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 628.99 points on Friday, up by 0.92% compared to last Friday.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the largest trading turnover, of 370,000 marka, on the BLSE this week. The company's shares closed at 1.03 marka on Friday, unchanged from a week ago.
BLSE’s total trading weekly turnover jumped to 39.4 million marka this week, up from 328,000 marka last week, with 38.8 million marka of the total came from trading in government securities.
