May 4 (SeeNews) - The Belgrade Stock Exchange closed Wednesday's session lower, with oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] pacing the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
NIS' shares fell 5.18% to 531 dinars on Wednesday, Belgrade Stock Exchange data showed.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.82% at 820.36 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.21% at 1,659.22.
The total trading turnover on the bourse went up to 296.2 million dinars ($2.7 million/2.5 million euro) on Wednesday from 17.1 million dinars generated on Friday.
The Belgrade Stock Exchange was closed on May 2 and 3, due to a public holiday.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 2.2 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 262.3 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Tuesday.
