November 10 (SeeNews) - British American Tobacco (BAT) said on Friday that its factory in Kanfanar, northwestern Croatia, will create further 50 jobs in 2024 as it expands that production of new, less harmful, categories of products.
"After launching an 80 million euro ($85 million) investment in new production line for heated tobacco products, the BAT factory in Kanafanar has become the only one in Europe that produces and exports tobacco-free heated products under the veo trademark," BAT said in a press release.
Veo products are based on rooibos, a plant that is usually consumed as caffeine-free herbal infusion, and offer consumers a tobacco-free smoking alternative.
The factory has created more than 150 jobs over the last two years.
