March 1 (SeeNews) - The governments of Albania and Azerbaijan have signed an agreement aiming to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, Azerbaijani economy minister Mikayil Jabbarov said on Friday.
Priority areas of partnership are set to include energy, trade, tourism, industry, agriculture, transport and infrastructure, Jabbarov said in a post on social media X. The agreement was signed during a visit by an Albanian delegation to Baku on Friday.
Albania is discussing gas supply options through the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), a pipeline in the Southern Gas Corridor which delivers gas to Europe from Greece through Albania and Italy.
Albania is set to start receiving natural gas from TAP in 2026, the Azerbaijani energy ministry said on Thursday.
