September 12 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended higher on Monday on the back of gains in Atlantska Plovidba and Hrvatski Telekom, bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, rose 0.53% to close at 1,993.66 points, rising for a second day in a row. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, gained 0.34% to finish at 1,188.93 points.
In regular trading, index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] was the most traded company with a turnover of 623,000 kuna ($84,000/83,000 euro). Its shares appreciated 0.54% to end at 187.50 kuna.
Blue chip shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] followed with a turnover of 504,000 kuna, as its shares rose 2.39% to close at 429 kuna.
Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR] was the biggest daily gainer on Monday. Its shares surged 13.93% to end at 15.95 kuna in a turnover of 396,000 kuna. Its shares are part of the CROBEX but are not included in the narrower equity index.
Car parts maker AD Plastik [ZSE:ADPL] shed 1.25% to end at 79 kuna in a turnover of 295,000 kuna.
On Monday a 4.0 million kuna block deal with shares of lender Hrvatska Postanska Banka [ZSE:HPB] contributed almost a half of the total trading turnover.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 8.2 million kuna, from 18.5 million kuna on Friday, when it was boosted by a 14.1 million kuna block deal with shares of shipping company Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG].
