December 19 (SeeNews) - ATA, a consortium of Turkish builder Tekfen Insaat, British engineer AMEC and Azerbaijan’s Azfen, has signed a $975 million (713 million euro) contract to build two offshore platforms for the second phase of the Shah Deniz project in Azerbaijan, Tekfen Holding [BIST:TKFEN] said Thursday.
The share of Tekfen in the deal, signed with BP Exploration (Shah Deniz) Ltd, is $496 million, Turkish diversified holding group Tekfen, which is the parent company of Tekfen Insaat, said in a bourse filing.
The Shah Deniz consortium on Tuesday took the final investment decision (FID) for the second stage development of the Shah Deniz gas field in the Caspian Sea, offshore Azerbaijan.
