November 7 (SeeNews) - The operating profit of German financial services group Allianz from its insurance operations in Romania totalled about 11 million euro ($13.6 million) in the first nine months of 2014, the group said on Friday.
The group’s property/casualty insurance division in Romania recorded an operating profit of 6.0 million euro through September, up from 4.0 million euro a year earlier, Allianz said in its third-quarter interim report.
Combined ratio in Romania fell to 100.8% through September from 103% a year earlier.
The operating profit from its life/health segment in the country rose to 5.0 million euro from 1.0 million a year earlier.
Allianz Group said its property/casualty insurance gross written premiums in Romania rose to 147 million euro in the first nine months of 2014 from 136 million euro a year earlier. Life/health insurance statutory premiums remained flat at 17 million euro.
