September 21 (SeeNews) - Household appliances maker Alfa plam [BEL:ALFA] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday but led the blue-chip gainers, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 593 of Alfa plam's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 20.4 million dinars. The company closed up 2.48% at 34,434 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.35% to 733.02 points on Friday. The index closed flat at 730.24 points on Thursday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.35% to 1,540.77 points on Friday, after increasing 0.01% on Thursday.
None of the blue-chip index members closed down on Friday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 37.9 million dinars ($377,250/320,900 euro) on Friday from 8.2 million dinars on Thursday, as 224 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 740,020 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 254,806 dinars to the total turnover of 38.2 million dinars on the stock exchange.
In the period between September 17 and 21, BELEX15 and BELEXline fell by 1.31% and 1.45%, respectively.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between September 17 and 21 was 71.2 million dinars, versus 49.8 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.077 billion dinars to the total turnover, versus 823.6 million dinars last week.
