TIRANA (Albania), June 17 (SeeNews) – Albania-based low-cost carrier Albawings said on Monday it has launched a direct service connecting the capital Tirana to UK’s London Stansted airport.
“Just yesterday, June 16th we had our first flight Tirana - London,” Albawings said in a video file posted on Facebook.
The company will offer three flights a week to London Stansted, the chief executive officer of Albawings, Anila Rama, said.
On June 3, Tirana International Airport (TIA) said that Albawings launched Tirana - Dusseldorf direct fights.
According to TIA, Albawings is expected to launch a service from Tirana to Greece’s Heraklion in June.
Albawings is a low-cost airline headquartered in Tirana and based at TIA. It is the only Albanian airline operating scheduled flights.
