September 8 (SeeNews) - Albania’s economic confidence indicator fell by 1.8 percentage points (pp) to 104.4 in August, the central bank said.
The economic confidence indicator in August was influenced by the decrease of confidence in the industry, services and trade sectors, Bank of Albania said in a monthly survey on Wednesday.
The industry confidence indicator fell 4.1 pp in August compared with July, while the trade confidence indicator decreased 4.4 pp.
The services confidence indicator went down 5.8 pp in the month under review.
The construction confidence indicator was up 4.4 pp month-on-month in August, whereas the consumer confidence indicator rose 1.8 pp.
Bank of Albania is carrying out the surveys of businesses and consumers since 2002. Starting from May 2021, the frequency of the survey was changed from quarterly to monthly.
