TIRANA (Albania), September 18 (SeeNews) – Albania's largest sea port of Durres handled 2.76 million tonnes of cargo in the first eight months of 2019, up 14% year-on-year, the port authority said.
Most of the goods, about 2.15 million tonnes, were processed by 416 vessels, up 16%, according to data published by the port authority.
At Durres port, 600,000 tonnes of goods were processed by 724 ferries, up 5% compared to January-August 2018.
In 2018, the port of Durres handled 3.6 million tonnes of cargo, down from 3.7 million tonnes in the previous year.
