July 2016 - The Commercial Court in Zajecar approves RTB Bor DOO's restructuring plan after the company's debts reached EUR 1.0 bln.
Jun 27, 2018 - Local companies RTB Bor Grupa RBB DOO, a non-ferrous metal ores mining and processing company, RTB Bor Grupa RBM DOO, a provider of support services for mining and quarrying, and copper producer RTB Bor Grupa Topionica i Rafinacija Bakra DOO merge into RTB Bor DOO and cease to exist as separate legal entities.
Aug 31, 2018 - Serbia's government picks China's Zijin Mining Group as a strategic partner in RTB Bor DOO. The Chinese company will hold a majority stake in the company and invest in it more than USD 1.2 bln (EUR 1.1 bln). Apart from the planned investment, Zijin Mining Group is obliged to recapitalise the company with USD 350 mln. The Chinese company also agrees to keep all 5,000 jobs at RTB Bor DOO and invest a further USD 200 mln in settling the company's debts.

Dec 18, 2018 - Zijin International Finance Company Limited, part of Zijin Mining Group, acquires a 63% stake in RTB Bor DOO through a capital increase by injecting USD 350 mln (EUR 306.9 mln) in the company. RTB Bor DOO changes its name to Zijin Bor Copper DOO.
Mar 14, 2019 - The company renames to Serbia Zijin Bor Copper DOO.
