Albania reported the highest GDP growth among 10 countries in Southeast Europe in 2008, of 8.0%. Croatia was at the bottom of the list with economic growth of 2.4% of GDP in 2008, 56 percentage points lower than the rise in GDP the country recorded in the previous year. The slowdown in economic growth in 2008 was the most significant in Croatia among the 10 countries surveyed. Out of the 10, Moldova posted the steepest rise in GDP in 2008, 7.2%, more than double the 3.0% growth it reported in 2007.
