The Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) is a Romanian political alliance, effectively representing ethnic Hungarians in Romania. At the 2004 elections it won 6.20% and 22 seats out of 332. It participated in the 2004-2007 ruling Justice and Truth alliance government (National Liberal Party – Democratic Party – Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania). After the split in the coalition in 2007 UDMR formed a minority government together with the National Liberal Party.
