Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) is a right-wing political party established by former Bulgarian Prime Minister Ivan Kostov (1997-2001). It emerged from the Union of Democratic Forces after the end of its full four-year government term. At the 2005 parliamentary elections DSB won 17 seats. After the failure at the European Parliament elections, when none of the Bulgarian right-wing parties won a seat, Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, the United Democratic Forces and other right-centrist political players decided to start talks for unification.
