The Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) is a parliamentary party in the Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in 1996. Its president, Milorad Dodik, is the Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska. At the last legislative elections in October 2006 the party won 8 out of 42 seats in the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1 out of 98 seats in the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and 41 out of 83 seats in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska.
