April 26 (SeeNews) - Serbia's Mona Green Energy broke ground for its Kucevo 1 and Kucevo 2 solar photovoltaic (PV) plants with a total capacity of 5 MW, local media reported.
The value of the planned investment in the project is 10 million euro ($10.7 million), news portal Rec Naroda reported on Thursday.

The solar plants, spanning an area of twelve hectares in Kucevo municipality, in eastern Serbia, will generate electricity that will be enough to meet the needs of 3,000 households annually.
Mona Green Energy is owned by Serbia's Mona Holding, which owns 89.2% of its capital, and private individual Zlatibor Dregic, who owns 9.8%, according to the Serbian business registry. The company was founded in January 2024.
