April 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.24% higher at 1,006.25 points on Friday, as cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] led the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.
Metalac closed 3.19% higher at 1,780 dinars in a volume of 200 shares.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] was the only blue-chip loser on Friday, shedding 0.92% to 864 dinars. A total of 1,094 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 954,545 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also rose, closing 0.61% higher at 2,207.40 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse fell to 38.6 million dinars ($352,900/329,200 euro) on Friday from 103.2 million dinars on Thursday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 32.5 million dinars of Friday's turnover.
Between April 22 and April 26 the BELEX15 fell 0.87% while the BELEXline rose 1.23%. Total trading turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange fell to 227.1 to million dinars this week, from 1.7 billion dinars last week.
