April 29 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.39% lower at 1,002.28 points on Monday, dragged down by losses in oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], bourse data showed.
NIS closed 1.62% lower at 850 dinars. A total of 1,969 NIS shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 1.7 million dinars.
There were no gainers among the blue-chip components on Monday.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index also fell, closing 0.08% lower at 2,205.60 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse fell to 5.2 million dinars ($47,500/44,300 euro) on Monday from 38.6 million dinars on Friday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 1 million dinars of Monday's turnover.
